Hi, we're Alan and Rhonda, and we're so glad you're here!

The Weaver's Perfect Memory isn't just a company to us—it's the result of a creative journey that started right in our own home.

You see, I (Rhonda) am a passionate weaver, and for years, I struggled with the same things many of you do: losing my place in a weaving draft, making mistakes that ate up hours of work, and wasting precious yarn.

My husband, Alan, a brilliant inventor and artisan, saw my frustration. With his incredible mind for solving everyday problems, he set out to create a solution just for me. The result was the Weaver's Perfect Memory. It was designed to be simple, elegant, and, most of all, fun to use. It was our way of making sure that my joy of weaving never got lost to a simple mistake.

Once we realized its essential benefits, Alan, an educator and teacher, said that he so wanted to help other weavers like me.  We took the leap! We patented it and committed to building them.  We are now so pleased to make it available to you.

Weaving Together Community

We believe that the tools of our craft should be as beautiful as the art we create. We're passionate about the vibrant community of fiber artists and want to serve you in every way we can. This passion led to a truly special project.

In 2024, Alan had the honor of being an artist-in-residence at his alma mater, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). To celebrate the university’s 150th anniversary, we collaborated with IUP art and design students, the IUP STEAMshop, and the Allegheny Arboretum to build a limited-edition run of our tool. We wanted to create a gift that embodied the spirit of the Arts and Crafts movement—working side-by-side to design a tool with intention and love. The commemorative Weaver’s Perfect Memory was crafted from trees reclaimed through the Allegheny Arboretum's Harvest to Use Project and was gifted to IUP donors, honoring the tradition of craftsmanship and the importance of supporting education.

Our Roots Run Deep

Beyond the company, our love for the craft continues to grow. Alan builds and restores antique furniture and builds Whitehall rowboats, modeled after the 1910’s era Mullins Prince. And I (Rhonda) am an active member of several guilds and fiber art organizations, constantly learning new techniques and finding inspiration in the creativity of fellow artists. I also have my own fiber design business, Enfoldme Fiber Design.

Alan's ingenuity and my dedication to the craft are what make the Weaver's Perfect Memory what it is today. It's a true family project, built on a foundation of creativity, community, and the shared belief that every weaver deserves a "perfect memory" at their loom.
