Inventor receives grant from Pennsylvania Council on the Arts

Four weaving studios/guilds in Pennsylvania are receiving the Weaver’s Perfect Memory. These donations are made possible through the Weaver’s Perfect Memory, LLC’s selection as a recipient of a 2023 Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program (CEAP) grant through the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

The Artists Hand Gallery in downtown Indiana, Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and Media are the first two weaving studios to receive the Weaver’s Perfect Memory tool. In February, Alan and Rhonda demonstrated the tool to weaving instructors and students and were pleased to donate this new weaving tool for use by the weaving studios. Instructors and weavers alike were impressed by this simple, yet elegant design, to assist them in both threading the heddles and treadling their weaving drafts.

“The CEAP grant gives us the opportunity to share our passion to educate and to support the arts. We are so encouraged by the response we are receiving from the Commonwealth's fiber art community,” Alan shared.

Creative entrepreneurs are invaluable assets to communities. They lead innovation, deliver creative products and services, generate economic opportunity, and build community identity. Awarding this grant to creative entrepreneurs is one way that the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts is investing in local artists and communities.  To learn more about the Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program, please visit www.arts.pa.gov.
